Suncadia House
1
This design is a new vacation home for
a sociable family in the Cascade mountains. The house was designed
to allow for guests to join them on weekend retreats. The simple
miners’ cabins in nearby Roslyn provided inspiration for the clean
forms of this house.
On the ground floor there is a lodge-like
great room, which serves as a gathering space for the family and
their guests. The T-shaped plan allows for abundant retreat spaces
at the ends of the building, giving visitors a sense of privacy.
